At Thistle Farms, our mission is clear: to support women and to challenge the systems that seek to exploit them. Since 1997, we've dedicated ourselves to offering women survivors of human trafficking and prostitution safety, meaningful employment, and a lifelong community of support, recognizing these as crucial pillars in this global movement for women's freedom.

We understand that human trafficking and prostitution thrive in environments of vulnerability, perpetuated by societal indifference and systemic failures. These gaps are where exploitation thrives, and women pay the price through incarceration, trauma, homelessness, addiction, and interpersonal violence. By providing free housing and a comprehensive approach to wellness and healing that takes care of the whole woman in support of the goals she chooses for herself, each has a refuge from exploitation and a chance to heal and rebuild their lives with dignity. We also offer workforce development and career opportunities, so women have access to the skills and confidence they need to break free from the cycles of exploitation. And we foster a lifelong network of support, creating a community where women can find solidarity and support at every step of their journey while working alongside elected officials, policy makers, and community partners to influence meaningful, systemic change.
